Effective Date: June 12, 2026
PisoCare Philippines is committed to preventing money laundering and terrorism financing in compliance with the Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2001 (RA 9160, as amended) and the Terrorism Financing Prevention and Suppression Act (RA 10168).
Our Commitment
Prevention
We actively prevent our platform from being used for money laundering or terrorism financing.
Compliance
We comply with all applicable Philippine AML/CTF laws and AMLC regulations.
Training
Our team receives regular AML training to recognize and report suspicious activities.
Cooperation
We cooperate fully with AMLC, law enforcement, and regulatory authorities.
Know Your Donor (KYD) Procedures
For donations below ₱500, we collect basic information (name and email) for receipt and verification purposes.
For donations of ₱500 or more, enhanced due diligence may be required, including identity verification.
For donations exceeding ₱50,000 (single or cumulative within 30 days), we conduct enhanced verification and may request a valid government-issued ID and source of funds declaration.
Suspicious Activity Monitoring
We monitor for red flags including but not limited to:
- Unusually large or frequent donations inconsistent with the donor's profile
- Rapid successive donations followed by refund requests
- Use of multiple accounts or payment methods by the same individual
- Donations from sanctioned individuals, entities, or jurisdictions
- Structuring donations to avoid reporting thresholds
- Donations with no apparent charitable purpose or from anonymous high-value donors
Reporting Obligations
PisoCare files Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) with the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) when warranted. We also maintain Covered Transaction Reports (CTRs) for all transactions exceeding ₱500,000 as required by law. All reports are confidential and we are prohibited from informing the subject of any report (“tipping off”).
Record Keeping
We retain all transaction records, donor identification documents, and compliance documentation for a minimum of 5 years from the date of the transaction, as required by the AMLA. Records related to reported suspicious transactions are retained indefinitely or until the AMLC advises otherwise.
Report Suspicious Activity
If you suspect that our platform is being used for money laundering or terrorism financing, please report it immediately and confidentially.
